How can you help?

The Mission of the Orange County Horse & Farm Center  is to provide recreational and competitive opportunities for youth and adults while respecting and caring for the environment and preserving the rural equestrian and agricultural character of the surrounding areas.  The Orange County Horse and Farm Center will provide a premier equestrian exhibition facility complementing New York State’s rich and longstanding involvement in equestrian activities.

Orange County is the Third Largest Equine Home in New York State!

What is a horse park?  A horse park is a large-acreage, usually not-for-profit facility used primarily for horse shows and other livestock/agricultural events which:

  • Brings enormous direct and indirect economic impact to a region, measuring in the millions of dollars

  • Provides facilities for a growing aspect of our local agricultural industry and an enhanced market for numerous support activities including farming.

  • Creates and preserves a permanent open space with numerous equine recreational opportunities for participants, spectators and tourists.

  • Provides facilities for agriculturally-based education and related other activities that serve the community.

  • Establishes an equestrian venue of world class scope and quality.

  • A Horse Park is a place where horse enthusiasts may participate in any one of the following disciplines:  Exhibitions, Sales, Shows, Rodeos, Team Penning, Team Sorting, Reining, Vaulting, Cross Country Eventing, Dressage, Polo, Breed Shows, Carriage Driving Show, Combined Driving Shows, 4-H Competitions, US Pony Club Events

  • And any other agriculturally-related activities

The Orange County Horse & Farm Center. was formed in July 2005 and has filed for 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status. The Friends of Orange County Horse & Farm Center Committee is a dedicated, all volunteer group committed to making the concept of a world class equestrian facility in Orange County a reality. Funding is needed to develop and construct the facility.
