| The Creation of The Orange County Horse & Farm Center will: |
- Keep permanent open space with recreational options for Orange
County residents and out-of-town visitors;
- bring enormous direct and indirect economic impact to the
region, measuring in the millions of dollars. This fact is supported
by recent studies done by the American Horse Council, Economic
Research Associates, the NY Agricultural Statistics Service and
KPMG;
- establish a quality equestrian venue
- provide facilities for a growing aspect of our local
agricultural industry and provide an enhanced market for support
services including farming;
- provide facilities for activities that serve the agricultural
community, as well as attracting visitors from outside the area
- preserve open land in an increasingly urban region.
